The Antidote
1. The Scene
I’ve just taken over my bus in Pioneer Square from the previous operator and am preparing it to my liking. Setting the mirrors, taping up my bright green smiley face to the shield– If they can’t see my real smile, they’ll at least see this one!
I can hear the two guys talking outside on the Main Street bridge. One is well-spoken and articulate.

*If you are mentally stable, have no addictive drug-related behaviors, no criminal history and have your paperwork in order, this is true. You're on your way! Otherwise? Not so much. Free food, however, is nigh impossible to go without in Seattle– refer to the 22-page PDF below, courtesy of Real Change's invaluable Emerald City Resource Guide.

What a lovely blog. I miss you so much. Your smiling eyes and our chats about life and film. I discovered Aki Kourismaki recently. My god, what a treasure. He was a huge fan of Yasujiro Ozu. I bet you know him. Also, if you're downtown anytime soon, go to Sosio's in Pike Place, get a bunch of Muscat grapes. They're about the best thing I've eaten in years.
I miss *you* so much!! It's so much fun to talk film with people, and so few people watch so many good films as you! I can see Kourismaki being an Ozu fan- a similar observational stillness. Thanks for the Sosio's tip! Sounds wonderful!! I finally saw There is No Evil and loved it to pieces.
Thank you for stopping in and reading! Thank you for the light you bring to everyone around you!!
