You know when you read something and you are overwhelmed with a swathe of different colors and emotions? That can't really be pinned down? This sentence did that for me.

And this only grew. Like a hot air balloon as I continued reading your story.

I love that he couldn't see your face at first. When he did, he saw everything that you couldn't voice out loud.

He does count...

Thank you so much, Bekah J! I'm so glad certain sentences have that effect. It's the high bar I keep jumping up to reach!

I was so stunned by him I had trouble moving afterwards. I just stood and watched him walk away until he was out of sight. Kind of like you say, I was overwhelmed with feeling, with questions of what he'd seen and ponderings of how he sees the world and how that view has changed since childhood...

The size and complexity of life leaves me dumbfounded sometimes.
