Nathan, I ride the 49 constantly and you are absolutely my favorite driver. I heard the NPR show and I was thrilled to shout out "OH I know him!" You sounded great (you should be on the radio more often) and comprehensively knowledgeable about public transit. I was one of those kids afraid of the size of the busses, despite my Dad having worked as a parts man for 40 years for Metro.

Im picking up your book at Elliot Bay this evening and I cant wait to read it. I am half tempted to keep a copy in my bag so you can sign it for me the next time you drive my bus.

Of course I'm happy to sign your book– I wonder if you snagged a copy that was already signed, in fact– I recently stopped by Elliott Bay to autograph a big batch of their stock.
