Someone offers their seat to a Chinese woman of about seventy who's standing. She smiles as she declines it, joking, "it's okay. Don't worry. I am young lady!"

Wish I could have been there...if only to see someone offer anyone else their seat. It's nice to know that folks look up from their devices every once in a while to connect.

We are all! I enjoy the pervasive lack of devices on the 7 route. They're still everywhere, of course, but it certainly seems like a lack compared to that morning 70!

I believe the person who offered their seat was also someone elderly or who otherwise would've qualified as a person we'd consider deserving of a seat. Isn't that how it so often works?
